Had a excellent experience in this spot with my daughter. The food comes out quick and the customer service is just fantastic. Prices are fair.

What can I say other than they have snails,(use the bread to soak up the snail butter juices yum!!) great wine, steaks, oysters.... and the atmosphere was very laid back. Our server was amazing.

It is a classist steakhouse that doesn't really exist these days. The overall feel was very old age respectable and important. The food was incredible. I had their scallop special, and the onion rings and calamari to start. The calamari is steak cut and the most amazing texture. The scallops were cooked to perfection. Only thought was it overall felt overcrowded and a little stuff. But popularity does that!

We called to make reservations for 4 for dinner on Saturday evening and were told that they only take reservations for parties of 5 or more. We were ASSURED there were tables for 4 at our desired time. We arrived and the wait was 1 1/2 hours. We won’t be returning to the Oakwood Club...ever.

Without a doubt the best place to eat in Dayton. The selection of food is just awesome, sadly no draft beer but good selection of wine. We enjoyed the walleye charbroiled on top of pasta. Others had the prime rib and the surf and turf, everything was delicious and the price was more than fair. we absolutely just loved our waitress she was delightful and always there when needed and never in the way.

Excellent food and even more excellent service! Had a wonderful time with my family and if I'm ever in the area again would love to go back

I am glad I found this steak house on Google Maps, rated 4.6.My party of 3 was very pleased with our meals, all of us had a steak. My “club cut” is pictured, cooked perfectly, great flavor and little waste. The price was reasonable and included a salad and two sides. I really dislike some restaurants that require sides, etc. to be purchased separately.The only surprise was that I was imagining a much better location, but the reality is that it’s storefront with little connection to a clubhouse.

Always excellent food and service. This is one of our top restaurants! The wait is long at times which is just another sign that others also agree!

Nice and cozy atmosphere and great service. A long standing upper tier eatery with good steaks,seafood and appetizers. Above everything they have one of the area's best cheeseburgers. A must try

Went with a group of 12 were seated at 2 tables for 6 next to each other. Service was great, food was amazing. Prices were a little high but food & service were worth it.

One of my favorite places in Dayton. I love to hang out at the bar with a glass of wine and some good people around. Great staff, also. They know how to take care of the regulars.

we went to the oakwood club my husband first time had a great waitress steak good i ordered the prime rib med rare and got a end cut was very disapointed to done .

We love going out. Yesterday we visited this excellent place which friends recommended to us. We passed a delightful time there with fine dishes and an efficient team and a great chief cook. We added this restaurant in our phone list and we will certainly come back soon. We warmly recommend.

If you come to Dayton you should eat here at least once. Old school steak house. Dimly lit. You know the type of place. I hear they serve seafood too. Decent wine list and fairly priced - always has been. Large bar staffed by good bartenders. Get the stewed tomatoes. Trust me.

what a find ! server chris was wonderful .. the bread was Awesome ! and I dont usually eat bread .. yes really. jar of seasonings on table were very tasty .. the salad was ok but it was the dressing ! that made it .. blue cheese dressing made fresh and well !! OH loved the spinach with bacon .. I loved the special veggie/kale accompaniment that adorned the plate .. ask about it . lastly, the steaks ! very flavorful and not overcooked .. !! I got the large 12 oz filet pittsburgh .. it was delicious . the pricing Extremely reasonable .. happened on this place after a concert at the fantastic Fraze Pavillion .. if you're on the fence.. dont hesitate .. !! for food, value, service, the dayton, OH Oakwood Club was 5 stars .. !!

The food is amazing, and the drinks are even better. If you've never been, put in on your list. They have a wonderful staff and a great environment. 👍A+(Dirty Tito's Martini on the rocks, with Bleu Cheese stuffed olives) #yum

Great atmosphere. Very old school, rat pack-ish. Food phenomenal. Celebrated anniversary so we split a dessert. Chose the cheesecake and wasn't disappointed. For my meal I tried the walleye. Also very good. The baked sweet potato was almost as big as my head. Okay, a small exaggeration. But it was huge. Nice place for a special occasion. Server was phenomenal as well. You could tell she was seasoned.

Food is always excellent. Considered by many one of the best restaurants in town. Unlike another popular restaurant nearby your credit card is welcome - and they offer desert. Usually a wait to get a table but always worth it.

The owner, Lance, was a little off-putting. Steak was good and servers were great. The owner should probably stick to the back of the house. He is super awkward!!!!!

Great dining experience. I was impressed with the options on menu I was interested in. The Oakwood Club was already busy at 5:00pm on Friday night. The wait staff was helpful and gave us a table in the bar. Highly recommend will be back.

Yesterday was the first time we went to this restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the efficient service, with the fine meal and fine drinks and with the modest payment. We will surely visit there in a short time.

The cornerstone of Oakwood !! Never disappoints ! The filets can be cut with a fork !Seafood entrees as fresh as the Boston seashore.John does such a great job seeing that everything is just perfect for you. One place you see your friends and business associates. The atmosphere is so cordial and relaxed. Being there is like sitting in your slippers !!

Not at all worth the money. I'm not a great cook but I can do better at home! In addition to the bad food, the interior is dated. Uggh! Skip this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great service with fair food

Would never trust this place! Used to work here and sanitary standards aren't where they should be thanks to owner Lance! He Will always cheap out when it comes to safety!

Never been to the Dayton area, the Oakwood club was recommended by two people. This was nearly a perfect experience... the only thing lacking was the frequency the server came to the table. The food was fantastic. We started with the bacon wrapped scallops (which are deep fried by the way) and also the Yellowtail tuna seared rare. The tuna appetizer was fairly small for the price but was delicious none the less. Moved to salads and bread - both were fantastic. Next came the entrees. I got the potato crusted halibut and my friend got the bone in filet. Both were cooked perfectly. I couldn't have been more happy with the texture change of the super crispy potato crust on the fish and then the juiciness of the inside. The filet was cooked medium and it was pink and warm all the way thru but not rare in the center with great flavor.I would recommend this to anybody wanting a slightly upscale dinner and will come back in the future.

I ordered the prime rib and my husband ordered the chops and both were very good. However, my salad had a ton of dressing just thrown on in the middle. The place was dirty and had flies. My cocktail glass had lipstick on it. The service was slow as we watched other tables come and go while we were still there. After reading several good reviews and articles about the place, we had high expectations and were disappointed that we chose to spend our anniversary dinner there.

The best dinner club that I have ever been to. Appetizers are affordable and taste great.

Have never had a bad experience at the oakwood club. Good food and great service. Hear about other places in town and there food but oakwood club only place I will go. See you tonight.

I've only been to a few fine dining establishments, regardless, my order was a New York Strip steak, medium done. I've been to my fair share of steakhouses but the steak I ate hear was juicier than any other Monbeck.

The Best Meal you will ever have!!

Very long wait but very worth it. Great food and great service. You aren't rushed through dinner and it is enjoyable. No one is in a hurry. Love menu and quality of food

This place is my preferable site. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to that place. Whenever I want to go to a superb dinner, this is the place that comes instantly to my mind. very good and varied food and a rich menu.great staff members, and pleasant ambience. Also important, the price is reasonable. I praise this spot with pleasure.

What a great place. My first visit was back in early 81. Unbelievable dinner with friends. I remember what I had that night. A cut of beef I had never tried before. They continue to excel. I am proud to be a neighbor in Oakwood. David Brown, eye 1 unique eyewear.
